I’m Heather Patrao-Rasiah:
Digital Marketing Strategist, Writer, and Content Creator 

I have more than a decade of experience helping organizations and businesses connect with their audiences through clear and authentic storytelling. I’ve managed projects across non-profit, corporate, and small business settings, including leading rebrands, building websites from the ground up, creating and executing campaigns, developing sales tools, and managing complex projects from planning to delivery.

My career began in non-profit communications, where I supported lawyers and law students by managing mental health and peer support programs. Later, I moved into the corporate space as the sole marketer for a global electronics manufacturer, where I planned and executed a complete brand and digital transformation. I also spent time in higher education, helping young entrepreneurs share their ideas.

Outside of client work, I co-founded a scholarship with my husband to support emerging cancer researchers at the University of Calgary. I also volunteer with Accessibility Renovations for Kids, writing stories that highlight the impact of home renovation projects for families.

 

This career has not only given me meaningful projects but also created flexibility to spend more time with family, travelling, hobbies, and creative outlets. The most rewarding part has been working with wonderful business owners who care deeply about their work, learning their stories and sharing them publicly, and helping them turn their dedication into results so they can reach their goals.
